You want burgers? I got ya burgers right here!

Hiiiiii,

I cannot believe I haven't blogged about my favorite restaurant yet!  Well... one of my favorite restaurants.  (I cannot pick a favorite, just like my mother would claim she couldn't pick a favorite child.  She just says that to make my brother feel better though.)  People, you need to go to Burger Bar!  It is located in Mandalay Place, which is between Mandalay Bay and Luxor.

*Hot Tip!*  Park at Luxor and enter Mandalay Place through that side.  Burger Bar's a lot closer to Luxor than Mandalay Bay, and believe me when I say you don't want to wait too long for some Burger Bar.

You may think that I only go to restaurants with my boyfriend Trencher, but I don't!  I actually know other people, and have never, ever been to Burger Bar with him.  It is really not that cool of me to tell him I love him but never bring him here.  I have been here with all of my lovely girlfriends though: Jenny, Amy, Fran, Kiann and Alison, along with various others.  No one has ever left here unhappy... not on my watch anyway.

Burger Bar's head chef is Hubert Keller.  Mr. Keller is not only one of my mother's top crushes, he is also a James Beard award winner who came in third place on 'Top Chef Masters' in 2009.  Mr. Keller loves burgers, and when visiting Burger Bar, one gets to share his love.

The idea is: choose your burger (Kobe, Buffalo, two kinds of 'regular' beef, Turkey, Chicken, Salmon or Veggie), choose your bun, then add as many or as few toppings as you'd like.  Toppings range from about five or six types of cheese all the way up to foie gras and lobster!  There are all kinds of veggies, different meats, sauces and my favorite topping - a fried egg.  The egg is prepared juuuust right so that it's not too dry, but doesn't get too crazy eggy all over the place either.  They also offer salads, build your own milkshakes and pre-made burgers, including a $60 one made with Kobe Beef and truffles.  I haven't quite gotten around to trying that one yet...

Every meal I've had here has been excellent, I highly recommend checking out this delicious burger haven!  My veg friend Alison has even called Mr. Keller's veggie burger the best she's ever had, and this girl knows veggie burgers!  Whatever your burger preference is, you can find it at Burger Bar.  And you should.  And then tell me about it.  Wait, better yet, invite me along.  How can you say you love me and not invite me to Burger Bar???  ;)  (Soon, Trench... Soon!)

  1. EGG!!!!! Also, burgers in general are amazing, and I love to see real chefs take them seriously.
